It is the intent of Agriculture Education Services & Technology, Inc. to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. AEST provides common accommodations for industry certification exams as necessary. Accommodations may alter the testing environment or the administration of the exam, but will not alter the content of the exam.
Paper and pencil exams. Based on the student/candidate's needs, paper exams can be provided as a substitute for online exams. This option allows students to mark directly on the test form. Exams must be administered by an approved proctor and may or may not include additional accommodations including extended time, verbal assistance, and use of a translation dictionary based on the student/candidate's needs. All exam accommodations offered during the administration of a paper exam must be noted in the Student/Candidate's account.
Testing Accommodations, including those requiring a paper exam, must be requested through the Accommodations Request Form and documented in the Student/Candidate's account BEFORE an accommodated exam is scheduled. The student's Accommodation Code is required to schedule a paper exam session and submit this form. Accommodation Codes can be viewed on the "Student Detail" screen in the Exam Delivery Platform.
The following steps must be completed for all paper exams:
Step 1: Create a Student/Candidate Account
Step 2: Complete the Accommodations Request Form
Step 3: Bind the accommodation code to the Student/Candidate account
Step 4: Complete form to Schedule a Paper Exam Session (this form replaces the need to schedule the exam through the exam delivery platform)
Step 5: Proctor receives exam via U.S. mail and confirms receipt with AEST
Step 6: Proctor administers exam
Step 7: Exam and verification form are returned to AEST via U.S. postal service within 24 hours of exam completion
